Churches built in the Renaissance in Kavarna are still spiritual centers of the Christian faith.
St. George Church is the oldest preserved Renaissance building in the city. Its architecture and valuable icons define it as a unique monument of culture.
The Assumption of Virgin Mary Church is located in the central part of the town of Kavarna, along the road to the port. The construction of the church is massive, from well-shaped rectangular stone blocks. Today the church is completely restored.
